We kindly request your participation in our Annual General Meeting, which will be held online on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. We would like to have as many of you there as possible to reflect on the past year and discuss future directions for SECNA.

Frequently asked questions
Will the AGM be recorded?
No it won’t but minutes will be taken and circulated to members.
How do I know what kind of member I am?
Log in to the member portal (click on ‘Member Login’ on the top right of our website) and you will see. (While you’re in there, please check that all of your details are correct and up to date!).
If you’re still not sure, please email us.
How do I RSVP?
All members have been sent a calendar invitation. Please RSVP by accepting or declining that calendar invitation.
If you did not receive a calendar invitation for any reason, or declined it but can now attend, please email us.
Why can’t Associate Members vote?
As per SECNA’s Constitution, only Industry Members (i.e. social enterprises, as approved by the Board) have voting rights. This is because SECNA was established by social enterprises for social enterprises. Associate Members can still have a say and we encourage you to attend and get involved.
How were director nominations made?
We put a call out for director nominations from 6 March. Director nomination packs and forms were available on the SECNA website and there was a director information session on 20 March.
This information was included in Member Update emails on 6, 13, 20, 27 March and 3 April. There was also an AGM Notification sent to members on 28 March and it was advertised on LinkedIn on 13 March and 3 April.
Director nominations closed at 6pm on 3 April. As advertised, any nominations received after this time and date were not considered. Nominations that did not meet the criteria (including identifying two industry members that supported their nomination) were determined to be invalid.
How will directors be elected?
Industry (social enterprise) Members will vote on each nominee and they will be appointed “if a majority of the votes cast by Voting Members are in favour” as per our Constitution.
Our Constitution allows for 3-9 directors in total. There are five continuing directors so up to four more directors can be appointed this year but only three valid nominations were received.
