Why is SECNA hosting this event? SECNA is a sector-led peak body that represents the interests of social entrepreneurs and social enterprises across NSW & ACT. One of the reasons we exist is to engage and connect the social enterprise sector in NSW and ACT.

In the past we have run various communities of practice and with a growing membership and lean team, we are trialing a new format that gives members an opportunity to easily and efficiently introduce themselves and what they do to a large audience and find others in the circular economy space, because connecting and building relationships can make all the difference in the social enterprise journey.

Workshop overview: A strategic funding plan is an invaluable tool for grant seekers. Over 45 minutes we will explore:

  • Why you need a Funding Strategy

  • Where (and how) to look for social enterprise grants

  • Current trends

There will also be time for Q&A.

Kate leads Purpose Plus by Tender Plus, a bespoke service for grant seekers. Purpose Plus helps charities and social enterprises successfully navigate the grants landscape, find best-fit funding opportunities, and develop winning proposals. Challenge: I have developed a draft business plan for my social enterprise, Not Just a Pretty Flower and would like to test my Theory of Change with SECNA, collect feedback and insights to help strengthen it.
 
My ToC has been developed this in consultation with industry stakeholders. 

If time permits, I would also love to test my proposed social impact approach informed by my ToC.
