Free certification with Social Traders

We are very excited to announce that Social Traders are providing free certification and recognition membership for SECNA members who are certifying for the first time.

As the social enterprise movement grows across Australia, we encourage you take this opportunity to get independent verification and recognition as a social enterprise. This nationally recognised certification mark will show that your organisation really is all about creating social, cultural or environmental impact through trade.

• A certified social enterprise does three things:

• Has a defined primary social, cultural or environmental purpose consistent with a public or community benefit.

• Derives a substantial portion of their income from trade.
  Invests efforts and resources into their purpose such that public/community benefit outweighs private benefit.

All social enterprises are eligible for certification, regardless of legal structure, size or stage of development. Certification will allow you to get tailored guidance from the team at Social Traders, and will mean your organisation can be included in the Social Enterprise Finder, the national public directory. Social Traders will also advocate on your behalf to business and government.
